To redeem a voucher simply bring along your physical voucher/email, show this to a member of the team when you are ready for your bill and we will sort out the rest.

You do not need to use your full voucher amount in one visit, as soon as part of the voucher is redeemed we will instantly email out another voucher with the new balance. The original expiry date will remain the same.

Yes! Of course. Bring a cake and some candles and we will be happy to store, unpack, light the candles and bring the cake out, plus provide a fancy knife and plates / napkins plus forks! Please Note - If you are skipping ordering a dessert with us to enjoy the cake you have brought along, we will add a small £3.50 ‘cakeage’ charge per person to your final bill, simply to cover our expenses.

We love a birthday celebration!

If you order dessert & eat your own cake, no charge will be added.

We allow newborns and children aged 8 and over - we have a separate Duckling & Gosling Menu available.

Newborns- We, unfortunately, do NOT have any specific baby change facilities.

We do have 2 highchairs & 1 Bumbo seat, please let us know if you need one.

Children under 8?

After a lot of time, family trials, and discussion we have realised that due to the steep set of stairs in the restaurant, the open flamed candles/tea lights on both lunch and dinner table settings, and the overall size of the space, we are, unfortunately, not a child-friendly venue.

- Sorry for any inconvenience around this, we know that children are an equal part of the family, however our particular venue and how it is designed, it does not lend itself very well to accommodate children under 8 years old.

SUNDAY FAMILY DAY-

We do very much welcome and encourage children on a Sunday, as we deem this a wholesome family day, and children love roasts too!

However, if your child is under 8 we do ask that they stay seated for the entire duration of their visit, due to the safety points mentioned above. They really are steep unmanned stairs.

As much as we do love dogs and love that Leek is a doggie-friendly town, we are a small food-focused venue, we have made the decision to make the bistro a dog-free place to eat.

With the exception of Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs who are welcome onto table seven.

We are lucky enough to have two large public pay-and-display car parks on the same street. With plenty of free-parking spaces after 3:30pm, great if you are joining us for dinner.

NB. We ask that you book and join us around 5:30-6pm or 8-8:30pm on your chosen evening to ensure we can give you a smooth dining experience.

Due to the size of the kitchen and dining room, we can not accommodate large tables for times around 7pm.

Please do let us know if there are any mobility issues and we will ensure that you are seated on the ground floor.

Please note - we can not guarantee where you will be sat. You can request at the time of booking but this depends on many factors on the evening and will be in the hands of the shift manager that day to organise the best restaurant seating for all tables.

There is access to the bistro for wheelchair users via the side door on High Street, and we would love for you to join us! However please note, our toilets are located on the lower floor, separated by a flight of stairs.

celebrate. Due to the intimate, cosy and relaxed atmosphere we can only accept a baby shower / hen party booking if you book exclusivity of our downstairs The Burrow, speakeasy themed private room. We can not take a large table booking.

NB. Depending on the day of the week there is a minimum spend for the group. We do not charge for room hire.

We keep them small so we can put everything into each dish, everything is made in-house by our professional kitchen team!

Yes! We have ensured there is a delicious gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian starter, main course, and sweet offering on our menu.

Please do mention any allergies when booking with us and on your order. As we do use nuts in the kitchen and unfortunately, we can never guarantee that trace of nuts will not be present in any dish.

This is not something that we currently offer, we have decided to focus on offering a gluten-free and dairy-free options.
